After completing his honours year and recently working as an RA in metabolism specific labs Matt is excited to join a new research area and undertake his PhD in the Cell motility and mechanobiology group as part of EMBL Australia.

Matt's project involves looking at how cytotoxic T lymphocytes are able to modulate their cytoskeleton in order to form synapses with tumour cells and deliver cytolytic contents to effectively eliminate their target. He have also majored in applied mathematics during his undergraduate degree and is currently studying postgraduate statistics at UNSW.
